Background

Karen is focused on sourcing and executing investments, as well as working with Stripes’ portfolio companies on specific strategic projects.

Prior to joining Stripes Group, Karen worked at Bain and Company, a business strategy consulting firm, where she developed solutions to client business problems in a variety of industries. Experience ranged from evaluation and investment planning for a Fortune 500 retail company, to customer acquisition strategy for a Fortune 100 Financial Services company. Further, she worked closely with Private Equity firms and corporate clients to determine the attractiveness of potential acquisitions from a strategic and quantitative perspective. Prior to Bain, Karen was an investment banking analyst at UBS in their Consumer Products group.

Education

B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.A in Economics, Yale University.

Interests

Karen is an avid cyclist, having biked across the United States just before joining Stripes and as a native of Canada, enjoys pretty much everything outdoors (running, cycling, etc) . She is actively involved in a Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build in Long Island, escaping the city on her weekends to help build homes for lower-income families. Karen lives in Soho in New York.
