Ripley’s interest in entrepreneurship was sparked at an early age through a subscription to MIT Technology Review that he received for his tenth birthday. Prior to joining Stripes Ripley worked providing both senior secured and venture debt to private companies across a variety of industries. He also worked closely with the COO and co-founder of a venture-backed communications startup in DC to drive business development efforts and ultimately guide the company to an acquisition.
Ripley is focused on identifying investment opportunities across all of Stripes’ industry verticals, with a particular interest in software and healthcare. He also conducts thematic research around some of the toughest problems and strongest trends in today’s economy to help Stripes intelligently deploy capital in support of top teams.
Ripley enjoys all outdoor activities and is always looking for the next mountain to hike. He is a serious automotive enthusiast and loves to spend time driving (fast) in the mountains, working on his car, and watching car reviews.
